What is pregnancy yoga?

Pregnancy yoga will support you physically and emotionally through this time of change, including preparing you for the birth experience and for life after the arrival of your baby. I will ensure that different options are given, in order to challenge and support expectant mothers in different stages of pregnancy and with different levels of yoga experience.

What is mother and baby yoga?

You will learn movements and postures that you can do alone and with your baby. As a new mother, your body will be going through many changes. Postnatal yoga will support you in regaining muscle tone and good posture, safely. I include some baby yoga so it will support your baby's development. Simultaneously, the mother-baby bond can be strengthened by relaxing together.

What to expect:

This class is suitable for beginners and experienced yoginis. The focus is on connecting with your body, mind and emotions, following the incredible journey that you have been on. This course is an opportunity to learn routines and techniques that you can also use at home to support your postnatal recovery in a safe way. This will support you in safely strengthening and stretching the muscles that have been through a lot of change, encourage you to feel centred during a time of transition and will help you learn to relax. I aim to provide a warm, welcoming environment, which is non-judgemental. We are here to support each other. If you are running late, please don't worry, come on in. The class is only 45 minutes long so you do not have to be away from your baby for too long. I have an 'open door policy' so if the person that is looking after your baby needs to pop in so you can feed baby (for example) they are welcome to at anytime during the class. Remember, when you take time to bring your energy into a positive place, you will attract positivity and this will support you in being the best parent that you can be.
